TINLAD Robot Reality Check

What is shown. What is claimed. What remains unknown. A transparent reading of robot evidence—not a promise of what a robot will do for you.

Six questions behind an evidence-led assessment

The six-category editorial framework below has a maximum of 100 points. It weighs hardware, demonstrated capability, operating context and availability—not promises. Missing evidence remains unassessed; it is not automatically zero.

Current catalog scores: a legacy independent assessment

Existing catalog ratings use five legacy indicators: availability (25%), autonomy (20%), demonstrated capability (25%), support (15%) and value (15%). They have not been re-audited into the six categories above. We preserve those scores and do not invent category allocations. Unrated models remain Not assessed. The number is an editorial snapshot, not a certification or a six-category audit result.

Read the source, not just the headline

Manufacturer documentation

Product pages, manuals and SDK documents describe the offered model. Specifications and marketing statements are manufacturer claims until independently demonstrated.

Official demonstration

A verified official video establishes only what is visibly demonstrated by that exact model and generation. Editing, teleoperation, supervision and the test environment may limit conclusions.

Launch, marketing & concept

Launch footage, renders, simulations and future plans do not prove operational autonomy, reliability or commercial delivery. A previous generation cannot establish a successor's skills.

Independent corroboration

Reproducible hands-on tests, technical publications and documented deployments can strengthen an assessment when their model, date and conditions are identifiable. An unsourced review is not verification.

Evidence is dated. A review date does not establish today's stock, delivery, safety or performance. Older footage may not reflect the current configuration.

Country coverage must be confirmed with the manufacturer. No region-specific shipping assurance is made here.

What the score cannot tell you

No score substitutes for a task-specific trial, risk assessment, integration plan or manufacturer contract. Public demonstrations often omit failure rates, operating hours and human assistance. Source dates, software versions and regional offers can change. Missing information is a limitation—not permission to fill the gap with a claim.

Is this certification?

No. TINLAD is an independent editorial discovery platform, not a certification body, safety assessor or manufacturer-endorsed authority. A score is not a guarantee of fitness for your task.

Does a demonstration prove autonomy?

Not by itself. One successful sequence does not establish unattended operation, repeatability, safety, failure recovery or the software available to a buyer.

Can I buy a listed robot in my country?

A catalog listing, announcement or manufacturer sales status does not prove local stock or delivery. Confirm exact configuration, destination, lead time and support directly with the manufacturer.
